This is an early morning picture taken from the Pfister building on Rte. 24, and it shows girls (mostly) getting ready to detassel.  The Hayes Yambert home at 98 S. Elm is in the background. In 1997, it is the home of Ken & Crystal Faulk. The VFW building had not been built yet.  Taken in about 1943 or 1944.
