The oldest community farm house still occupied is the Robert Mayne
home, built by William Denman in 1856.
The home erected by James Seery on West Jefferson in McClellan’s addition,
and sold by him to W. H. McClellan. Note the similarity to Wathen’s home.
It is the second oldest house in town.
